Could you be Leicester’s next Improv comedy sensation?

whose-line-is-it-anyway-s2-20090520180748_625x352Can you create a joke at the drop of a hat? Are you spontaneously funny? Quick-witted? Or none of these things? It doesn’t matter! – Join our improvised comedy training and surprise yourself. De Montfort University’s Square Mile programme has joined forces with two of Leicester’s top Improv performers to host weekly sessions called Whose Square Mile is it Anyway? to allow people to give improvised comedy a try. Improv is a form of comedy where most, or all, of what is performed is created at the moment it is performed. It was made popular through hit shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?  (pictured above), Just a Minute and Mock the Week.

Improv is lots of fun, builds confidence and is a great social activity.

The group meets in Newfoundpool Working Men’s Club,  on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm and will work towards a show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February. The first session starts this Wednesday (Nov 5). It’s free to attend and anyone is welcome to take part. To register your interest in either of these sessions, email mcharlton@dmu.ac.uk or call 0116 250 6183.
