CNP_DSeWgAA2EmGTuesday 25th witnessed the first six potential donors to sign up onto the Anthony Nolan stem cell register for the #PassItOn Leicester campaign. Alongside Rik and Kas Basra, founder of the Rik Basra Leukaemia campaign, we celebrated the beginning of this life-saving campaign by signing up individuals such as Leicester Riders Basketball player,Tyler Bernardini, and Sandyha Joshi from Sarbras Radio. Student reflects on washroom project in Indore with Indian Summer presentation

DMU Global in Indore IndiaEarlier this year, Square Mile and #DMUglobal offered the opportunity for student volunteers to travel over to India to Daly College in Indore. Our volunteers took part in our washroom project which aimed to improve education in India for hundreds of children by building toilets in schools.The lack of toilet facilities in schools is currently believed to be one of the reasons girls drop out of education in India. Before we left for Daly College in Indore, student volunteers worked with schools in Leicester to raise awareness of the issue of how lack of sanitation affects schooling in India.
