This week DMU staff and students flew to Malawi, South-eastern Africa to gain valuable experience in teaching and help make a difference to the lives of many children living in the Tilinanu Orphanages & Foster Care Homes.
Working alongside charity Love, Support, Unite, staff and students will be given the opportunity to further research and understand the Malawi education curriculum. Many students attending the trip are preparing for their final-year of study at DMU and this experience will offer a fresh perspective to help shape research interests and potentiality form the basis of a study.
The #DMUglobal trip aims to enable the students to enhance skills taught on their courses and provide them with a strong foundation for when it comes to applying for a PGCE qualification or future career opportunities. Continue reading
